Meet Leslie Sears. She's a graphic artist by trade, and loves painting and exploring other creative pursuits during her spare moments.
Leslie grew up in Southern California, working in her family's printing business, renovating her crumbling Victorian house, organizing fund raisers for Rotary, and backpacking in Yosemite. A move to the Big Island of Hawai'i in 2007 presented a whole new set of opportunities! Now a self-employed graphic artist, Leslie enjoys working one-on-one with her customers. When she’s not at her computer, Leslie is exploring Hawai’i Island, capturing its rugged beauty in pastel and oil plein-air paintings. She paints weekly with the Plein Air Artists of Hawaii Island, and displays her award winning work at One Gallery in historic Hilo town, www.OneGalleryHawaii.com. Drop by the gallery, 186 Kamehameha Ave., any Monday afternoon from 2pm-6pm and say hi, Leslie is the artist-in-residence.
